Summary:
Entry level position for repairing and reconditioning of AC and DC electric motors and pumps.
Responsibilities:
Inspection and disassembly of electric motors to determine cause of failure
Diagnostic electrical testing
Mechanical fit testing
Dynamic balance armatures and rotors
Bearing replacement
Steam clean motor parts
Perform test run of motors
Paint motors, as needed
Prepare motors for shipment
Clean up of shop area
Work in a safe manner
Basic tool set required
Complete required tasks and paperwork in an organized and timely manner
Communicate with supervisor and/or customer in a professional manner
Education/
Experience:
High school education required
Experience with electric motors preferred
Demonstrated ability to learn
Skills and Abilities:
Basic electrical understanding
Good mechanical skills
Basic computer skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to learn Companys computer system
Work Environment:
Repair shop
Shop can get very hot in summer
Noisy at times
Ability to work night and weekend overtimeEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
