Reservations Agent

Reservationists facilitate the promotion, sales and bookings of lodging and golf/ski packages.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND Responsibilities: Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Provide resort information, and prices.
Use selling techniques to promote packages, etc.
Handle customer complaints or concerns.
Counsel clients on terms and conditions e.g. cancellation policies.
Book reservations and send out confirmation notices.
Process payments and refunds.
Assist at front desk.
Work closely with, and assist other departments such as Sales, Membership, Food and Beverage and Golf.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: The following competencies are typically demonstrated for this position:
Excellent telephone manner and etiquette.
Experience with basic computer applications.
Previous experience in marketing and sales is an asset.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
